INDIGENOUS AEROSPACE TRAINING
TRAINING INDIGENOUS RPAS INDUSTRY LEADERS
Our program includes a DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced and training four community members to learn RPAS Technical Operational Skills.
Our partnership provides ongoing and evolving training and equipment sales to prepare communities to conduct search & rescue, security & surveillance, and inspection & imaging activities. It will also establish the necessary infrastructure to participate in drone delivery activities and future autonomous drone operations.
OUTCOMES
TRANSPORT CANADA ADVANCED RPAS PILOT CERTIFICATE
For Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems 250 g up to and including 25 kg, Operating within Visual-Line-of-Sight (VLOS)
ADVANCED RPAS GROUND SCHOOL
In accordance with the Transport Canada TP-15263 Knowledge Requirements
INDUSTRY SPECIALIST MICRO-ACCREDITATION
To meet potential employer needs – specialist training in identified RPAS solutions & Drone Service Provider (DSP) Products
TRAINING IS DELIVERED IN TWO PHASES
PHASE ONE
Students are taken through the Advanced RPAS knowledge requirements using a workbook designed with resources, regular knowledge checks and online tuition. NIST exercises will be assigned for practice with regular assessments on progress.
PHASE TWO
Complex Environment Training will build on the student’s skills to understand RPAS setup, control and function, close proximity piloting skills, basic drone thermography, oblique & NADIR mapping photogrammetry methods, RTK & PPK GPS positioning methods, orthomosaic stitching & 3D point cloud construction processes and project management. Assessments made at each step, to ensure there are no learning gaps.
